Disney – IMM “Magic”

Disney – IMM “Magic”

Making magic happen is a magical process in itself.  To help move this magic from the mouse house nestled away in Burbank to screens and audiences around the world I led a product team to develop the prototype for their internal theatrical work flow and management system.

Dubbed “Magic” the project sought to consolidate the workflows, assets, approvals, releases and updates for Disney’s international theatrical release schedules.  This included centralizing logistics across multiple points of the organization – everything from display artwork, to film stock, to creative releases to regional based language translations and much, much more needed to be coordinated and trafficked across the organization.  The “Magic” application was an internal, 75 day, JAVA based, working rapid prototype that could handle live data and multiple user requests.

For this project I led the product discovery, business logic, product definition, prototype development and architecture, which was produced / executed by Carolyn Farino – an amazing individual and architect / UX designer.
